This Friday (April 30th) is Queensday in The Netherlands. With our national color being orange, we’ve decided to discount all the orange headphones for sale. Although orange isn’t a very popular color for headphones with only the crazy Japanese manufacturer Zumreed making orange headphones, they are very good looking headphones.

The well known Japanse manufacturer Zumreed has done it again: they have build two more headphones that will attract attention like no other. Available in lush colors like pink, lime green, purple and fire truck red, they scream one thing: attention!

Zumreed ZHP-008

The ZHP-008 is the first of the two new headphones and is available in 8 colors.  These include the bright colors usually used by Zumreed like pink, lime green and light blue. With the ZHP-008 these come with contrasting earpads.

These headphones use a 32mm driver to produce a very decent sound considering these headphones retail for just €35 shipping included. Highs are crisp and although the low-end isn’t abundant, it’s there when you need it. The flexible stainless steel headband and the square earcups provide a distinct look and are definitely something that will get you noticed. Zumreed ZHP-010

The ZHP-010 is the ZHP-008′s bigger brother. The look bigger, they are bigger, they sound bigger and they cost more, although they don’t hurt your wallet in ways we know from Sennheiser, Grado and the likes.

You love music. We love music. And the best way to discover and share music today is the internet. We’ve already talked to you about great services like Twones and their Music Bar, which is great to share and tag the music you listen to online.

To discover music, there is a whole new initiative: 22Tracks. They feature no more than 22 tracks at each time, in each genre. These can be played as much as you like, albeit on their site. If you are into music, you should definitely check this out! We love it!

As Jays announced earlier, they plan to introduce the new X-Jays with their quadruple balanced armature earphones in Q2 this year. I won’t digress about the difference between dynamic drivers and balanced armatures right now (which I’ll do soon, I promise!), but know that this is the same technology that was previously used in the super tiny Q-Jays, but these where “only” dual armature earphones.

To bad it’s not for another three months before we can enjoy the worlds first quadro armature earphones, but Jays will launch the slightly less exotic A-Jays and T-Jays this month.

Several other interesting earphones will come out of Sweden these months, but so far no word about P-Jays. Bummer!

If you are, you should definitely check out these funky headphones designed by William Gerwin. As he calls it “to support the act of exploration”. They feature a digital 10 megapixel camera on one side and a projector on the other, making them the ideal gear for schizophrenics.
